Default Who is going?

As at the date and time of this post, there are 8 MG's booked for this day.

Gary & Denise Dawson, MG ZR 160
Dick Owens 'K' series Midget
David Pearce 'K' series Midget ?

Peter Hinson MG F
David Green MG F
Craig Heath MG B GT

Donna Bourne/Gareth Evans Rover 200 Coupe
Michael Harrison ?

Do make yourselves known to each other on the day, it does make it more enjoyable to share your experiences.

Gary, Dick and David are very experienced regulars and always willing to offer advice.

Have a great day all and I look forward to hearing how the day went.

As I type this there are 19 places left @£125 for this day if anybody else would like to join the others. Should you wish to book go to the News & Events page, click on the event and follow the links. Booking is via the Lotus on Track secure web site. If you do please post here so the others know who you are and can say "Hello"

Martin.

Hi Martin,

I am booked in with the Midget for Bedford.

Drive by noise monitoring may well be a problem as we did an evening LoT session there last summer and I got flagged by the marshals as we were only 2dB below the limit. Apparently if you go over they send you home. It means you have to lift off as you go past the microphones (about 5 from what I remember) which kind of spoils the fun! This was all with the extra "strap-on" silencer fitted. I have added a cold air feed with remote filter to cut down the induction noise but we still got a "talking to" at Goodwood (as did Dick Owens).

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

Yes I was at Goodwood and remember

Sounds bl**dy wonderful to me

I know it is more expense but have you ever investigated somebody like Maniflow doing a system for you.
Have a look here http://www.maniflow.co.uk/

I have used them in the past on my Ford stuff and they do a superb job.

Excellent day at Bedford yesterday. We used the full GT circuit which adds another 5 corners to the South West circuit that we used on previous MG sessions there. Took a few laps to remember them all though! No problems at all running with the Lotus guys and would definitely recommend it to anyone with a few track days under their belt, next time it comes up.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the feedback and pleased to hear all went well. It has never really appealed to me, but if your recommending it, as well as Gary who is always telling me I should give it go, perhaps I'll have a play next time it comes along.

Agree 200% with Dave ...A super fast circuit but it does take some time to learn ... Wish I could have 2 full days to realy get to grips with the track ..
It is over 4 miles long with some long straights and some slow ( 2nd Gear ) corners ..
Only thoughts on improving the day for me was that there were so many RED Cones that I was not sure were the track went and where the Apexes should be ..
A great event for those with a few Track Days under their belt ...
Some of the cars there could launch a satellite .. FAST or WHAT ...
For me a great weekend as I could meet up with friends from 40+ year ago and give some a ride ...
Cant wait for next year .....
